Awards for VOLUNTEERS AND Students

Clément Laforce Award

Clément Laforce was an engineer who could read people, blue prints, organizational charts and budgets as well as anyone. Over more than 20 years, he applied these skills and more in the service of the communities of Medicine Hat and Alberta. In Clem's honour, Praxis has established an award in his memory which is given to an individual who has distinguished themselves in demonstrating or promoting science and technology for youth. Mindfuel Scholarships

The MindFuel scholarships are an investment in Alberta’s future. They are meant to address challenges facing our province and our country: shortage of knowledge workers focused on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), and the ongoing need to build a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Qualifications

• Students must be graduating from an Alberta high school.

• Students must be entering their first year in an undergraduate applied science or science education program at an Alberta-based post-secondary institution.
